01

Track changes as clear boundaries

When a supported source reports a confirmed new track, CAT closes the previous segment and starts the next part of the session.

02

Metadata and recognizable file names

Available title, artist and album information is used to give separate files clear names and useful metadata.

03

Review manually closed segments

For manually or technically closed segments, CAT can inspect the existing source for silent boundaries. A questionable segment remains recoverable during the current session.

Frequently asked questions

The short version.

Does track splitting work with every app?

Automatic track splitting requires a supported source that can provide current track information to CAT.

Can I still save a rejected segment?

During the current recording session, you can export a recoverable segment using Save anyway.
