Active audio stays internal
An active CAF source file is never written directly to your selected destination. CAT keeps active audio and unfinished exports in its own Application Support working folder.
Safe recording and export
CAT separates the active recording from its final destination, preserving source material when an export cannot be delivered immediately.

Before recording, CAT verifies that the selected destination exists, is a folder and accepts a small write-and-remove test.
A completed file is first transferred under a hidden temporary name and then renamed atomically. If delivery fails, the internal export remains available for another attempt.
